May 20th

The last weekend of the Pheasant season 2018

Some nice weather, some good dogwork and some birds made for a memorable weekend.

2020 Gamebird season

The lockdown in March because of Covid meant that we couldn't go anywhere untill the end of May. The shooting season was supposed to start on May 2nd so was postponed untill May 23rd. I did manage to get video clips of some of the action so far. There will be more so watch this space.

Tama in the tough West Coast gorse country.

My young dog Tama working in very tough country near the west coast of the North Island. he had a very nice find from a long way out. When I finally got to him we produced a Cock Pheasant. A difficult retrieve was done by Red. Enjoy!
